Right from our childhood, we are taught to work hard now and enjoy later. In school, we are told to work hard now and get good marks to secure a seat in a good college. In college, we are told to work hard now and get good marks to secure a good job. At work, there is no time for anything but to work hard. Eventually, till we retire, we work in the paradigm Work Now Enjoy Later. Shift this paradigm a little and make it as Work Now and Enjoy Now. It is possible for both of them to co-exist. Ask all the happy managers. Those who don't advocate this, I am sure you would not like to follow them as an example.
